Where is everyone?
I have been absent for several weeks and upon returning I find that there hasnt been much activity.
My son is done with football---finally.
It was literally draining to have practice 3 nights a week for 2 hours each night and a game EVERY Sunday. Some of the games took us over and hour from home.
Regardless of where we played we had to be at the school or field by 10:30.
This allowed them time to practice and weigh in before the noon game.
Pretty tough on a 9 year old but he absolutely loved it.
I am certain he will play next year as well.
Now band takes up his time. Not as consuming but he does have to practice every night for about 10-15 minutes as well as twice weekly during school. What is hard is that the practice rotates so he doesnt miss the same class but either way, he has to make up his classwork.
So what is everyone up to? I am glad that all of the talk about Halloween is over with. I do not decorate as much for that as I do for the overall fall theme. I love the colors of fall.

I'm here! But actually headed out of town - going to Disney World for my birthday.

I've been working hard to try to get folks to write more, but it just takes time. There are lots of lurkers...shy perhaps?

Keep the discussions going while I'm gone! :)

Welcome,
What projects are you currently working on?
I am still in the process of finishing my family room.
It has been a long haul but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I have to decide on my flooring and since I have young ones durability needs to be considered.
We have also opened up the door of the kitchen to this space so the flooring transition needs to flow with each other as well.
Thinking of a plush in a beige called canoe. This will work with flooring in the kitchen and it is the same carpeting we had installed in the DR and LR
this past August.

Do you have any before pics? (Or are you waiting til you can show them with the "afters!).

We replaced our carpet last year - we went with a very neutral beige. However, I regret not going with hardwood because there are already a couple little spots on it. We didn't chose the wood because we already have wood in the two adjoining rooms and wouldn't be able to match it.

Perhaps go w/the neutral carpet, but get a colorful area rug to go over it and protect it from kiddo's!

Susan
