Just saw this new table at West Elm - they call it the Modern Farm Table.

Do think it's more farm or more modern? Do you like it?

I guess it could be but this table is far from what I would consider a farm table. I would say that it is definitely more modern in style, but not finish.
I am not drawn to modern/contemporary/loft decorating. To me these pieces would work well with any that I mentioned.
I think that adding the natural elements such as the braided sisal rug, branches and light shade to some may be a style interpretation of farmhouse???
Although these elements can be found in a beach themed home as well.

Yes I think that could be considered a modern look because of the clean simple lines, even though it's wood.

Looks pretty contemporary to me. What exactly constitutes a farm table?

I'm thinking no self-respecting farmhouse would have a table that small! And somehow modern and farmhouse do NOT go together in my mind. Of course, since I don't like the modern style I could be a bit biased. Give me farmhouse/cottage/country any day!

This old reclaimed wood lends itself wonderfully to truly touchable beauty. I love this table! I want to make it a little wider though, so it fits better in my dining room.
